Black Pro-Mist® offers all the benefits of the Pro Mist filter in a more subtle form. Highlight flares are controlled. The contrast is lowered, but with less brightening of the shadows for a more sensitive effect. Creates a soft "pastel" effect. Sensitive effect with included highlight flare. Also available in DV Select Kit 3 and DV "Film Look" kit. Made in the USA. Its unique contrast layer combined with a lean color like halation, function as a rotation on the stand of the pro halation spill effect. Even at its lowest density, it delivers an effective and increase in halation that adds a pleasant depth of warmth but is not transported to skin tone levels. These characteristics become more apparent when you use densities of 1 quarter and more. In the heavier densities, the spill from the practical light is quite aggressive, with the warm tone becoming clearer. Nevertheless, the subtle but effective look still makes the Pro Mist Filter a basic filter for many cameramans in the digital world.
