Patrick Aloysius Ewing Sr. (* August 5, 1962 in Kingston) is a former Jamaican US basketball player and todays trainer. He is currently under contract as a head coach at the college team of Georgetown Hoyas. Ewing was most of his professional career active for the New York Knicks, where he was eleven times NBA All-Star and twice reached the NBA finals. He is considered one of the best NBA players who couldnt win a championship throughout their career. He was included in the list of the 50 best NBA players of all time; in 2008 the recording was followed in the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame. [2] The jersey number 33 is no longer given by the knicks to honour Ewings.
