DICTUM slicer
The development of our DICTUM planer series is based on our Herdim planers. We have been manufacturing these for decades for our violin makers, who place the highest value on extreme precision and perfect work. Solid planing bodies made of cast steel*, with finely lapped soles and cheeks at right angles to each other, speak for quality as well as the at least 3 mm thick irons made of SK4 steel (61 HRC). The planers are also available with a Japanese iron made of blue paper steel (63 HRC) or a HSS Cryo iron (64 HRC). The easy-to-adjust iron delivery allows for easy corrections, while ergonomically designed, tested handles and polished flaps fit comfortably in the hand. Handles made from domestic red beech wood.
