Mit dem ASM1164-Controller ermöglicht diese SATA-Karte die Verbindung von vier Hochleistungs-SATA-Laufwerken mit einem kombinierten Gesamtdurchsatz von bis zu 16 Gbit/s.
Die SATA-Laufwerke werden über vier einzelne SATA-Ports auf der Karte angeschlossen (SATA-Kabel separat erhältlich).

Die Controller-Karte wird weithin unterstützt auf allen gängigen Betriebssystem-Plattformen, einschließlich Windows (7, 8, 10), MacOS (10.10 und höher) und Linux (2.6.32 und höher).
