How to use the sharpening puck:

Hold the tool to be sharpened or tighten it into a vise to prevent slipping. Apply a few drops of honing oil to the side of the sharpener, which you use for sharpening.

Grip the puck firmly between the thumb and fingers and support it with your palm. Move the puck in a circular motion, overlapping the circles as you move along the entire cutting edge to be sharpened. (Note: For best results, pay attention to a constant angle when sharpening).

Edit a whole side of the tool cutting edge before repeating the grinding process on the other side.

PRO TIPS:

For heavily worn, notched or very dull edges, use the coarse-grained side of the stone puck first. To apply a finer edge, repeat the process with the medium-grained side of the axe head sharpener.

If your tools only need a touch up, skip the step with the coarse grit and use only the medium grit side.
