Product Description

For the beginner, this camera makes good pictures easier than ever, subject programs and automatic programming do most of the work. Thanks to the wide range of functions of the camera, the advanced photographer also has numerous possibilities of creative influence.

The operation is simple and intuitive. A dial and a dial give quick and convenient access to all important functions. Some special functions are controlled by pressing a button. For better control, the large, easy-to-read LCD shows all important setting values at a glance. Most of the data also appears in the viewfinder image, so that the camera does not need to be removed for adjustment.

The dynamic auto-focus system with five measuring fields, whose AF sensor has been adopted by the F80, ensures sharp sharpness. The main object is captured even if it is not exactly in the middle of the viewfinder image.

The camera offers three field operating modes: AF dynamics, unleashed AF dynamics and single-field AF. And with the special focus tracking with lock-on, the F65 reliably follows moving objects with sharpness as long as the trigger remains tapped. In low light and even in complete darkness, the AF auxiliary illuminator supports automatic focus adjustment. Continuous images with up to 2.5 shots per second adapt perfectly to moving situations.

The cameras 3D matrix measurement is not only based on brightness and contrast, but also captures the subject in its entirety, so that the mood of a scene is naturally reflected. The F65 relies on a database based on 30,000 practice shots that take into account a wide range of shooting situations. The distance information, such as the D and the new G-Nikkore (without aperture ring), also flows into the 3D matrix measurement for an even more accurate exposure.

Thanks to the fully automatic mode and five scene programs, the beginner can easily cope with the camera. The advanced photographer has the option to switch to automatic program with program shift, aperture, timing and manual exposure adjustment for greater flexibility in creative design. For shooting in difficult lighting conditions or for special effects, the F65 has an exposure compensation button that allows you to vary the exposure level in the range of +/-2 exposure levels.

The exposure functions of the F65 are complemented by the possibilities of exposure series over two or three shots with a scattering of 0.5 to 2.0 LW. An electronic dimming button allows you to check the depth of field on the matte lens before recording. And a multi-exposure button makes it possible to combine multiple exposures on one piece of film.

The built-in TTL flash unit automatically turns off in low light or backlight - depending on the exposure program - or is activated by pressing the flash button. It illuminates the angle of view of a 28 mm lens and has guide number 12. With matrix-controlled brightening flashes, hard shadows or high-contrast backlight motifs can be brightened. The flashed amount of light is dosed so finely that a completely natural image effect results. In addition, the flash has a function to "reduce red eyes". The shortest synchronous time is 1/90s. In addition, the F65 offers long term synchronization and synchronization to the second shutter curtain.

The Nikon bayonet has not been changed. The extensive range of AF Nikkoren allows you to use the diverse functions of the Nikon F65. The AF type D lenses and the new Nikkore Type G, where aperture adjustment is done exclusively via the camera, also transmit the setting distance to the F65 and thus contribute to higher exposure accuracy.

Nikon system flashes are available for higher flash performance. Not only do they offer longer range, but also allow indirect flash, unleashed use and manual flash control.
