Step 1: measure.Measure the distance between the handlebars and the rear end of the saddle. There are the hooks of the bike lift later. Transfer this measurement in step 2 to the ceiling, or to the plate, which is later attached to the ceiling. |
Step 2 - Search for attachment pointSearch for a corresponding attachment point on the ceiling. For suspended ceilings, you are looking for a ceiling bar or a corresponding very stable mounting plate. Once you have found the corresponding areas, transfer the measurement from step 1. Make sure both fixings have a fixed fixing point on the ceiling and are parallel to the wall. If you want to mount the brackets between the ceiling beams you will definitely need a stable plate on which the bike lift holder is mounted. This plate must then be attached to at least two ceiling beams. |
Step 3 - Attach the rope bracketAttach the holder for the rope (s. Drawing 3: E) in a suitable place on the wall. |
Step 4 - Assembly of the P4B Bike LiftAfter you have installed the bike lift ceiling mounts on the ceiling, check their fixed fit. Before you install the reel brackets, you must thread the rope. Start with both rope ends on the cable brake, as shown in drawing 3 (dotted line). Follow with the one end of the A1 rope through the front hole of the cable brake across the front roll over B1 to C1. With the other end of A2 through the rear hole of the cable brake, across the rear roll over B2, C2 to D2. Make sure that the hooks are facing inwards. At the end you then make one loop C1 and D2. When assembling the ceiling and roll holder, slide the screw through the loop of the rope (C1 and D2). |
