As a rule of thumb, as long as the sledge, plus a few centimetres for the double-sided knots. When the lead is placed backwards. it should still be hung on the slatted end pieces. Zulange leads often prove to be disturbing and can quickly straight under the blades.
Tip: The leads can be shortened. The end piece should then be kept briefly over a flame by an adult person to sink it. This prevents the lead from fraying.
The handle is made of hard round wood (dried beech) with a diameter of 20 mm and sanded on all sides. The length is 11 cm. The edges are chamfered and the hole has a recessed groove on one side for the knot. The lead is made of polypropylene 5.0 mm and is available in different colours as shown in the picture. The length is 135-140 cm depending on the linen selection. The lead can be knotted well at the selected thickness, which is completely sufficient.
