The Ergon SR Pro Carbon Mens Saddle

With carbon rail and carbon composite seat shell, the SR Pro Carbon Men brings just 175 grams to the scales (size S/M). Flat yet comfortably padded. The male-specific relief channel takes the pressure from the sensitive perineal area.

Features and specifications:

German innovation: Developed in Koblenz, Germany, by designers, ergonomics experts and engineers who love the road bike as a passion... just like you.

Pressure-free comfort: The special design and flatter overall profile for men reduces pressure peaks and hot spots by distributing the riders weight perfectly across the seat bones.

Special relief channel: The mens saddle facing and forward forward forward comfort relief channel has been specially designed to eliminate pressure, numbness and pain in the perineal and genital areas.

Orthocell technology: The innovative OrthoCell insoles are ergonomically positioned in the contact area of the seat bone for greater comfort, better pressure distribution, longer durability and a lower overall weight than gel pads.

Microfibre cover: The comfortable microfibre cover is hygienic, washable and durable.

For the best on men.

The Ergon development team has intensively researched on mens health. The main cause of discomfort when cycling is the saddle. In men, high pressure on the extremely sensitive perineal area leads to numbness. The SR Men ideally relieves the male perineum: With MRT and CT analysis, many prototypes and test riders, we have ergonomically tuned the road bike saddle to the anatomy and needs of the man.

More space for the legs.

The male pelvis is less flexible compared to women. That means: Men sit upright on the saddle and make the seat bones more stressed Therefore, the transition area between the saddle and saddle nose can be kept narrow (Y-shape). This gives the legs more freedom to pedal.

Men are different – we got it.

In contrast to the female anatomy, the pubic bone blades are significantly steeper to each other and the pubic joint (symphysis) is much higher. We have also taken into account this significant difference between man and woman in saddle development.

No pressure on sensitive areas.

The right pressure distribution is important. To protect the sensitive perineal area, the pressure must be shifted to the seat bones and parts of the pubic bone arches - this is exactly how the relief surface of the Ergon mens saddles works. Due to the upright male pelvis, we have kept the surface flat and evenly for the best possible freedom of movement, for the topper we use the highest quality foams

Ergonomics

Driver and wheel together as one unit. The design of our saddles and handles is matched to the shape of the body and leads to a better distribution of opposite forces. Uncomfortable pressure points and related complaints are eliminated.

Design

Ergon developers are also passionate cyclists. They develop and test new concepts and ideas extensively where they are used - in the heat of the race, on the road, in the forest and on the bike paths throughout the city.

Technology.

100% of our research and development performance takes place under one roof in beautiful Koblenz in Germany. From computer simulations to fast 3D prototypes to the final form of the product, each process is closely linked and subject to careful control.

Pro riders and teams.

Professional drivers play an important role in developing our products. The sporty competition drives demands to a higher level, while the detailed feedback from riders who spend life in the saddle leads to improved product design for everyday cyclists.
