The rubber coated dee bit has a single connection. The single joint creates a nutcracker in the mouth and is therefore considered heavier than the French compound or lozenge. The D-rings of the bit look similar to the whole cheek bridge. They help with the rotary aid, stop pinching and prevent the bit from pulling through the mouth. The rubber mouthpiece is more gentle than a metal mouthpiece, which makes this a good piece for young horses or people with sensitive mouth. 16mm Mouthpiece
