The success story of WENKO-WENSELAAR GmbH & Co. KG begins at the end of the 50s. With the right sense for the better ideas in the household, the necessary inventive spirit and entrepreneurial passion, the founders Wietze Wenselaar and his wife Maria Köllner started with the production and marketing of the first metallised ironing board cover in Germany. At that time an absolute novelty and basis of the later company success of the family business, whose name "Wenko" came from the merger of the founder names Wenselaar and Koellner. With the company entry of Hanns-Joachim Köllner, son of the founding family, the "Ironing" range and the household area were further expanded at the end of the 60s and marketed with continued success in mail order and stationary trade.
