Als Wilhelm Ferdinand Kaiser 1919 im Erzgebirge einen Großhandel für Metallwaren gründet, ist das der Beginn eines unvergleichlichen Aufstiegs vom Kleinbetrieb zum Marktführer für Backformen und Backzubehör. Nach dem 2. Weltkrieg bei Null angefangen, expandiert das Unternehmen schnell. 1963 wird der Standort nach Diez an der Lahn verlagert, dem heutigen Firmensitz. Kaiser unterhält technologisch hochentwickelte Produktionsstätten und verkauft in 50 Länder in Europa und Übersee.
