What size do I need?

Available in XS / S / M / L / XL / XXL - For more information on sizes please refer to the size chart in the product images. These gloves are rather tight cut, especially on the fingers. If you are unsure about the size or if a looser fit is preferred, please choose one size larger. After repeated wear, the gloves expand a little and become more supple without wearing out.

What temperature range are these gloves made for?

We all have a very individual perception of heat and cold. In addition, it also depends on other external factors such as wind, intensity of cycling and general clothing selection. Depending on the intensity of the ride and the sensitivity of the cold, the gloves are perfect for cool and wet rides in spring, autumn and winter. Basically, as always, the faster you ride and the more you exert, the warmer it will be.

Are the GripGrab waterproof knitted gloves windproof and waterproof?

Yes, the gloves are both wind and waterproof. The waterproof membrane inside the glove is glued to the outer material at the fingertips so as not to damage the membrane by stitches/seams. When taking off the gloves, it is a good tip to hold the fingertips and do not force off the glove.

My hands are still wet, how can that be?

Despite the breathable materials, these thick winter gloves are not as breathable as thinner gloves. Therefore, during increased exertion, sweat cannot escape quickly enough and hands are wet. It should also be checked that the sleeves of the rain jacket are pulled over the waistband of the gloves, so that no water can drip into the waistband from above.

Why do I still have cold hands despite warm gloves?

1. understanding how clothing works. Gloves, like all other garments, cannot warm by themselves. Their task is to isolate the bodys own heat as long as possible and effectively as possible.

2. The body does not produce enough heat because the intensity of the ride is too low and you either have to drive harder or wear warmer. If the body does not build up heat - for example through movement - then there is no heat that gloves etc. can insulate.

3. The upper body is too thin. The functionality of our body is optimised to protect the vital organs in our upper body. In other words, when you go out in winter and get too thin around your upper body, the warm blood is automatically directed from uncritical parts of the body (arms, hands, legs, feet) to the upper body. If you use thick gloves, socks and overshoes, you should put on the rest of the body accordingly.

4. The gloves are too tight. Make sure the gloves are not too tight - otherwise there is no space to insulate the air. These special gloves are suitable for low to medium intensity rides without competition or intervals. We therefore recommend increasing the size by one size as this traps more air in the gloves and acts as an insulating layer.
