Description

Glass tubes with a diameter of 8.5 mm. They fit into the hole in the rubber stopper for wine balloons. The materials from which the tubes are made have all food approvals.

Made of glass with a diameter of 8.5 mm
Dimensions: width 4 cm, depth 2.5 cm, height 18 cm

The water filled fermentation tube is used in the fermentation process to protect the contents of the setting from oxygen enrichment while allowing regular release of carbon dioxide generated during the process.
Thanks to the moving water column, we can observe the changing intensity of the fermentation process from turbulent stage (intense carbonation) to stationary. It is natural to evaporate the water, so remember to fill it in the tube. Otherwise, there may be too much oxygen enrichment of the liquid, which oxidises the resulting ethanol into acetic acid. This unfavourable process can also be caused by fruit flies entering the shell. If the water level in the tube is limited, we can fill it with less evaporating oily liquid.
