The pan has no chemical coating and must be baked with vegetable oil before first use. This creates your own natural patina, which contains no harmful substances and can be renewed at any time if necessary. This makes the pan almost indestructible and scratch-resistant. The patina protects the pan from external influences and provides the necessary non-stick properties.
Cast iron crockery is not dishwasher safe and must only be cleaned by hand and without steel sponges or aggressive detergent. All you need is hot water and a cleaning brush or household sponge to rinse.
