Römertopf
Based on the traditional Roman cooking method in the clay pot, the so-called "Römertopf " was launched in the 70s by Römertopf Keramik GmbH as a trade mark. Cooking in a clay pot has a tradition in many country kitchens. Even hunters and collectors used clay to envelop their prey and protect them from the ashes when cooking in an open fire. In the Römertopf food cooks without the addition of liquid or fat, valuable ingredients are therefore fully preserved. The result is gentle and aromatic stewed dishes made from imaginably versatile ingredients.
