Fit ring
Fit ring in a door hinge:
A fitting ring is a special shape of the washer, derived from fitting tape (fitness tape or fish tape), a regionally varying name for bands of older design on wooden doors.
The standard dimensions of the disc are adapted to the diameters of the mandrels of door hinges. If a door grinds on the floor due to wear of the tapes or changes to the flooring, it can be positioned higher by one or more fitting rings per tape.
Fit rings are not suitable for doors with 3-piece straps. The same number of rings per door hinge should always be used to distribute the load optimally. The prerequisite for the use of fitting rings is that the door at its top edge has a sufficient gap size to the upper part of the door frame.
