Description:
A throttle check valve is a valve that throttles a medium in one direction and allows it to flow unthrottled in the other direction. The valve consists of two individual valves, which are housed in a housing: firstly a throttle that reduces the line cross section (in the symbol above) and a check valve (bottom). The symbol shown is an adjustable throttle, recognizable by the arrow that goes through the throttle symbol.
How it works:
If the medium flows through the valve (related to the switching symbol) from the left connection to the right connection, the check valve opens, the throttle is bypassed and thus has no effect. In the reverse direction, the check valve closes and the pressure medium must pass through the throttle, reducing the flow rate (here: depending on the setting).
