1. crotchThe rust areas should be treated mechanically in advance. For this purpose, the HPX brand range offers various dry and wet sandpapers in different sizes and grits. The damaged area must be removed to the bare sheet metal. For stuck pore rust, use the rust converter from Presto: the liquid rust converter spray forms an adhesive layer of iron phosphate, which also protects against rust. The rust converter jelly from Presto is particularly suitable for vertical surfaces, as it does not drain. |
2. crotchIf necessary, fill the damaged area with the matching spatula or spray spatula from Presto. |
3. crotchAfter the filler layer is dry and hardened, bumps are sanded wet smooth (sandpaper grit 320 or 400). Then wash the sanding residue thoroughly and allow the repair site to dry well. |

Step 4Cover the surrounding area of the damaged area with paper to protect it from spray. Then spray on the adhesive base or filler from the Dupli-Color brand. This results in a closed, smooth surface for good adhesion of the top coat. |
Step 5Finely sand with the HPX brand water sandpaper (grain size 800 - 1000) so that no dust inclusions or imperfections remain. |
Step 6Then the Auto-Color paint spray can from Dupli-Color approx. Shake vigorously for two to three minutes until the balls strike audibly. Before spraying the paint on the vehicle, we recommend doing a spray sample either on a cardboard box or in an inconspicuous area. The optimal spray distance to the object is approx. 25 to 30 cm. The temperatures should be between 15 and 25 °C. Spray only in well-ventilated rooms or in places protected from the wind. |

Step 7Spray several thin coats until a shiny, closed coat of varnish is created. For larger areas, spray the paint in multiple cloisters at intervals of three to five minutes. |
Step 8Metallic paintwork should be applied after approx. 30 minutes drying time must be sprayed with clear varnish to protect the metallic particles from oxidation and dulling. |
Step 9Spray spray varnish from Dupli-Color in the edge zones. After drying, the edges and also the spray mist are simply polished away with a polishing paste. |
