Due to the thermal loads, it is not uncommon that the intake manifold shows cracks and becomes porous. Then it is high time to renew this component, as cracks generally generate secondary air in the intake tract and this leads to the weight of the mixture. The results are too high combustion temperatures, restless engine running and power loss.

Intake manifold passage: approx. 20 mm.
