About DAddario

The company was founded in 1936 by John DAddario Sr. founded. The company is based in Farmingdale, Long Island (USA).

This family business originating from Italy has been manufacturing ropes to New York since the 1950s. They were one of the first to leave the raw material and produce the nylon ropes we know today. In addition to the classic guitar, they make all kinds of strings: Electric guitar, acoustic or bass guitar as well as stringed instruments for orchestras such as violin or violoncelos.
