Veritas Single Hand Slicer, PM-V11 Iron

An all-rounder.

PM-V11 Steel
PM-V11 steel is made from a novel powder metallurgical steel alloy. Thanks to its extra-fine and even material structure as well as the high hardness (HRC 61-63), this steel achieves twice the service life compared to A2 steel. PM-V11 plane irons can be sharpened razor sharp and are extremely wear-resistant, even at a chamfer angle of less than 20°. All irons come with a ground 2° microbevel. Sharpenable on common water stones.

Versatile slicer with removable and adjustable headboard for use as a corner siding planer. Its quiet running makes this slicer the preferred tool especially for working on ledges, folds, grooves and wood joints on both longitudinal and end grain wood. Body with finger groove, ergonomically shaped flap. Tilt angle 15°. Chamfer angle 25°. This results in a cutting angle of 40°. Attention: planer comes in two parts (planing body and iron).
