Description
The silo sandbags with wire closure have a carry handle and are made from extremely sturdy Monfil fabric. Due to the UV resistance, the silo bags have a long service life of approx. 8-10 years. The silo sandbags are suitable for weighing down silo film, underlay film (suction film) and silo protection grids. Thanks to the tube shape, the bags are ideal for use on / in the driving silo. Thanks to their length, silo sandbags can also be used as a flood protection barrier e.g. on cellar doors or windows. A silo bag is ideally filled with coarse-grained round gravel but can also be filled with sand.
Usage Tips:
Tip 1: Fill the silo sandbags with slightly coarse-grained round gravel instead of sand. Since the bags are made from a fine, water-permeable fabric, there is a large risk that fine sand escapes through the fabric over time.
Tip 2: Each silo sandbag is equipped with a so-called reversible strip. This marking is used to identify which side is above/was. Turn the silo bags every year. Thus, expose the top and bottom of the sandbags evenly to UV radiation. Even if the high-quality monofilament fabric is UV-resistant, double the durability of the silo sand bags with this method.
Tip 3: Do not fill the sandbags too plump with gravel, but so that they are still flexible and "suppled". Thus, the bags adapt better to their surface and do not slip off easily and form a better and homogeneous structure when stacking.
