Description

Mirage is a new matte box system designed for the latest era of video creators, an ultra-light construction, multifunctional modular design and an affordable solution for modern and efficient video production. Equipped with a new standard 95mm clamp on the back that mounts directly onto classic cinema lenses such as ARRI Ultra Primes, Leica Summicron-C, etc., as well as adaptable to more accessible DSLR and mirrorless lenses to support all video creators. Our new round filter design is due to its light weight and smaller size, with a weight of only 1/4 x 5.65 filter. Inherited from the film industry, the cartridge filter version replaces the conventional screw filter system and can be quickly installed with a single press. The system supports a variety of special effect filters, such as star patterns, colorful stripes, anamorphic flares, black and white pro fog nebula and other lens effects, which can fully support all aspects of your creative vision for modern video production. With a newly developed variable ND module (optional), developed in close collaboration with world-class optical manufacturers, the VND module offers space for multiple configurations, with the lightest being only 130 g. With new PL + CPL technology, the VND module can produce precise colours even at its maximum density. The variable ND can be adjusted gradually, so you can maintain an even exposure in unexpected lighting conditions. The module has built-in hard stops between ND 0.3 ~ ND 2.7 to ensure there is no risk of X-pattern cross shadow. Based on golden ratio and optimized color rendering to maximize ND function, our variable ND features a larger axis between the filter elements. To prevent vignetting, use ND 0.3-2.1 for wide lenses and use ND 2.1-2.7 for focal lengths over 35mm. The VND module can be wirelessly controlled by a micro motor to remotely control the ND level, which provides more flexibility when shooting.
