This coupling ring has an external thread in diameter 77 mm and another external thread in diameter 82 mm (male connection).
With this coupling ring, you can primarily connect a second lens in a retro position (upside down) on your camera lens via the respective filter threads safely and precisely.
The retro lens acts like a close-up lens, which shortens the close-up focus distance of your camera lens. This allows you to significantly reduce the distance from the subject and you can achieve fabulous macro shots. The focus setting on the front lens must of course be manually adjusted.

You can also use the coupling ring as a coupling for all filters, other adapters, lens hoods or extensions.
