3M Scotch SJ4575 Dual Lock Low Profile Resealable Tape. Can replace conventional fixings such as screws, clips, rivets, press studs, Velcro and screws in many applications where access or transfer is required. Very thin and resealable yet sturdy, 3M Dual Lock Low Profile tape is thinner and more flexible than other resealable fasteners. SJ4575 is equipped with a self-adhesive backing (3M 300LSE laminate adhesion) and therefore has excellent adhesion on many different surfaces such as polypropylene, polyethylene, metal, wood and many others. Used in shopping points, trade fair exhibitions and electronics sectors, the low profile dual lock resealable tape can be used on ceilings, tiles, carpets, seat cushions, exhibition graphics, access panels, wall panels and small electrical appliances. Also ideal for attaching badges or ID cards to the car windshield. 3M normally recommends 26cm2 adhesive tape per 0.5kg static load for all low profile dual lock products.
Dual Lock has only one type of side; unlike Velcro which has a hook and loop side; rolls are usually cut into two halves and then joined together. A 3 metre long roll is used as two 1.50 metre strips. Low Profile Dual Lock has 700 stems per 2.5 inch square however the stems are significantly shorter than conventional dual lock systems that have either 170, 250 or 400 stems per 2.5 inch square inch. This gives you a much thinner attachment to the object that does not protrude so far, but not with the adhesive force of conventional Dual Lock products. However, it is ideal for small, lightweight items.
