Description:
A cotter pin secures two items through a common hole. Insert the splint into the hole, the bulbous head prevents the pin from moving through. Then bend the open tips to secure them. Depending on the application, different sizes and designs are available.
Feature:
1. The special closure ensures a durable and long-lasting hold.
2. Insert the split pins into the holes of certain types of mounting systems to hold them in place.
3. After inserting through the hole, the two prongs at the opposite end can be separated and bent outward to lock the pin.
4. Cotter pins are most commonly used to secure fork bolts, crown nuts, bolts, gear tow chains and bolt shafts to ensure the normal operation of the mechanics.
5. The bulbous end prevents the pin from being pulled through the hole, so it is important to choose a pin whose diameter dimension is larger than the hole diameter in the fastener you are working with.
