What is it?
Our pipe cutter is a must have for hoses that fit into quick disconnect connections that require a clean, flat cut and create a leak-proof connection. It has a sliding lock to keep it closed when not in use, and a small fork at the rear end of the handle designed to push down ziplock fittings to loosen the plastic pipes.
"Why do you need it?
As with quick connections, a clean, straight-cut pipe leads tight and results in leak-proof connections. This tool combined with fixed inserts and elbows when needed ensures leak-proof connections. You can also use razors or side cuts. But a razor is great when cutting but also the risk of cutting yourself. The use of side cuts breaks the hose before it actually cuts it and the cut is not so clean, causing problems when you try to remove it in the fitting.
Where can you use it?
Our pipe cutter is designed for cutting soft and hard nylon/rubber/vinyl/poly/PVC/PU plastic air lines, pipes, soaker hoses and hoses. Cutting OD: 1/4" or 3/8" OD PE Pipes or Other Pipes or Hoses OD ≤12mm It is perfect for the soft plastic hoses and a little difficult and requires more force for hard plastic hoses.
How does it work?
When turning upside down, a small bolt adjusts the cutter in the closed position. You can unlock by turning again 180 degrees. Make sure your hose fits properly and you get a clean and square cut every time.
