Use:
Most abrasives consist of the backing material, the base binder, cover binder and the abrasive grain. Depending on the surface to be processed, a different grain size is used. This then results in the sanding pattern or the surface quality. Various surfaces can be sanded, polished or smoothed. The abrasive also differs in application, so not only the fine grinding can be carried out with sandpaper by hand. This type of abrasive mostly uses paper as a carrier material. The advantage is that the sandpaper can be cut to size for the necessary work. With latex-coated backs, this can be used not only for dry sanding, but also for wet sanding. Poorly accessible places, if there is a curvature, for example on the wood, sanding fleeces or sanding sponges are suitable. A previously known term such as sandpaper refers to the material used for sanding, i.e. emery, quartz (sandpaper or English sandpaper), garnet or flint. Nowadays, synthetically produced abrasive grains are often used. So today corundum (natural or synthetic) is often used. Very fine results can also be achieved with our 125 ceramic flap disc. When it comes to separating materials, even gemstones are used. In our assortment you will also find a diamond cutting disc.
Examples of use:
Sanding wood grinding, polishing, smoothing, removing unevenness, cleaning, removing rust or smoothing welds, furniture construction, grinding metal such as car rims, smoothing edges
If you want to give a wooden surface the necessary cut, you must always pay attention to clean and safe work. Always work with little pressure and, for example, let the delta sander, belt sander and/or random orbital sander glide gently over the surface. You should always pay attention to the choice of the right grain to achieve a clean sanding pattern. Paper that is too coarse can cause irreparable damage. Hard to reach areas can be done by hand sanding. With our sanding triangles from a grain size of 400, you can achieve a very fine sanding pattern. Of course, metal is also ground. For rust removal, we also offer the CSD disc 125 in our range, which is then used with an angle grinder. Cleaning disc in the size 125 mm or also called CSD disc, fleece grinding wheel, cleaning disc, paint remover discs or coarse cleaning disc. The disc we offer is purple, this is harder than the black, making it more durable. The discs are very suitable for removing rust. It is a gentler method than, for example, a wire brush. Thus, CSD discs are ideal and considerably more efficient than the braid brush when removing rust. Removing paint is also possible.
Another method of grinding is to use a flap disc. Use our flap disc for surface and weld seam processing. Thanks to the cranked shape T-29, you can easily grind, polish, smooth, remove rust and perform other surface treatment. Due to this damping fan-shaped layer anchored on a sanding plate, fewer vibrations occur such as a grinding disc. The superimposed sanding fins have a long service life.
Always work with little pressure and let the sanding disc do its job in peace. The angle should be approx. 15 degrees and as already mentioned, gently.
Also for the random orbital sander you will find sanding discs in our range. These professional sanding discs round are equipped with Velcro on the back to ensure quick change of sanding sheets.
Notes:
The sanding discs are sensitive to breakage, so please take extreme care when handling them The use of damaged, incorrectly clamped or incorrectly inserted cutting or roughing discs is dangerous and can lead to serious injuries. Risk of injury: Broken segments or fragments are thrown away and can penetrate the eyes or skin surface (face, torso, hands, arms). Please always wear appropriate protective clothing such as safety glasses
