And how to use your rosin for soldering:
During soldering, the solder joint must be protected from oxygen from the air. This is done with rosin, which forms a protective coating over the area to be soldered.
In addition, it results in a smooth surface of the solidifying solder. Rosin residues can then remain on the solder joint, as rosin does not cause corrosion, unlike soldering fluid or soldering grease. It is accordingly a protective layer and prevents electrolytic and oxygen-based corrosion.
Take e.g. a small bit and melt it directly on the contacts, solder surfaces or component connections.
Cable ends or cable strands that you want to tin, you can hold directly into the rosin and melt there.
