Features and use:
The aluminium solder AF 631 NH is suitable for the production of solder joints on pure aluminium and aluminium alloys such as Al.99.9, AlMn, AlMgSi, AlSi, and other aluminium alloys with magnesium content <0.8%. The solder is also suitable for connections of aluminium with copper and brass. The flux residues are non-corrosive and non-hygroscopic, but should be removed from the component if it cannot be permanently protected from moisture. When using the AF 631 NH solder for soldering itself, except for a suitable soldering torch, you do not need any other aids (screwdriver, stainless steel brush, etc.). The difference to the aluminium solder with the AF 631 NH is that the oxide removal is carried out by chemical and not mechanically. The flux contained in the solder dissolves the aluminium oxides and thus allows a perfect wetting of the base materials. The solder is very capillary active and is therefore used for split soldering. It is not suitable for filling larger cracks and joints.
