This innovation continues Rotosounds proud legacy of innovative string design that started with our round wound strings in the 60s.
Developed in collaboration with some of the worlds finest artists, Rotosound strings are synonymous with timeless sound, longevity and rock history.
Founded in 1958 by James How, an engineer who made strings for his own instruments, Rotosound was known worldwide for its high-quality products and famous endorseas such as Jimi Hendrix, Pink Floyd and Queen to name a few. The Whos John Entwistle began a long partnership with James and helped develop the swing bass strings that have become the industry standard.
Rotosound has gathered together the most famous artists in the following decades from Jaco Pastorius to The Edge, Oasis to Guthrie Govan, and was the go-to string for every music generation.
and using the best materials. You can count on Rotosound strings for consistent sound and performance in each pack. Each Ultramag string is made on custom machines designed and built in the UK by Jason How.
