Stroft GTP type R line: Type R is a tried and tested GTP, which was previously offered in the strengths type 1 to type 12. These strengths are now called Type R1 to Type R12. The R stands for round and tight, so for round and firm. Last year, this range has been expanded to include the types R01 to R06. These are extremely fine cords in the diameter range of approx. 0.06 mm to 0.13 mm with load capacities from 1.5 kg to 4.0 kg.

Until now, it was not possible to produce these finest cords because the individual fibres were not fine enough, and the number per braided strand was therefore too low. A new, even finer UHMWPE fibre now allows you to enter this area.

Type R is manufactured using very special braiding processes. The STROFT special braiding made of e.g. 300 x 8 = 2400 individual fibres (type R12) creates an almost circular line cross section with arrow-like dimple on the surface. This dimple (dimples = English dimples, depressions) create turbulent currents during the throwing process, which reduce air resistance and thus allow further casts, as is the case with the dimpels on a golf ball.

The following colours: light grey, green, orange, pink fluorine, light blue, dark brown and multicolour (With the colour multicolour, the cord colour changes every 10 metres. ).
