●Application rim tape: When purchasing, please note the width of the inside of the rim. For maximum performance, the milKit rim tape is placed double on the valve hole, so that approx. 10 cm. In addition, cutting at a 45° angle is recommended, but is not absolutely necessary thanks to the excellent adhesive capacity of the milKit rim tape. To ensure that common rim tapes stick better, many tubeless riders warm the adhesive surface before attaching to the rim. This is not necessary with the milKit rim tape, as it is already pressure-activated and thus already sticks in the best possible way.

🚴♀♀ milKit rim tape provides a quick and easy conversion of your rim to tubeless and guarantees reliable and long-lasting performance. We designed our rim tape to be very strong and reliable for an airtight fit, but with enough flexibility to make installation quick and easy. milKit rim tape is available in the four most popular widths on 10 m rolls. One roll is enough to set up 4-5 wheels. Use milKit rim tape: 1. Clean rim thoroughly and keep dry. 2. Install rim tape by pushing it firmly into the rim. It must be firm and ensure that there are no gaps or air underneath. Make sure it overlaps at least 10 cm / 4 in over the valve hole, it is better to have a longer overlap than shorter. Use two layers for high pressure wheels (over 8 bar / 120 psi). Cut the rim tape at a 45° angle for best adhesion and flexibility. Install milky tubeless valves into the rim: just press a small hole in the rim tape and slide the valve through the band into the rim. Choose a rim tape width that corresponds to the inner width of your rim or slightly larger. The rim tape should cover the entire rim base and it can even cover part from both sides. ❗️❗️ Using narrow rim tape can lead to air leakage between rim and band - which can be frustrating. If it is too wide, it may be difficult for the tyre to fit properly.
