The story behind it We can always learn something from the past. 40, 50 years ago, nothing was wasted in the household. This philosophy is the basis for our knitted wiping cloths and other products from SOLWANG DESIGN. My grandma turned old yarn scraps into wiping cloths she knitted. These accompanied my sister and me through our childhood and youth. When we moved out, we still loved my grandmas products. Some were better than others depending on which yarn had been used. The colour design was always new and beautiful. In her last years, my grandma bought the yarn just to be able to knit us something and delight us with her works. That meant there were now plain cloths and ultimately those that matched our kitchens, which was a kind of crowning of their work. When my grandma was no longer with us, we couldnt find any replacement for the wipes. Effectiveness and functionality combined with colour beauty were the prerequisite for replacement. So I got to work myself, knitted first for me, then for friends who were always very enthusiastic when they received designed and knitted wipes from me as a small gift. The idea for your own line was born. The time for crafts is usually scarce, but the desire for beautiful and at the same time functional products is great. The production of the wipes and towels from Solwang Design is carried out today by knitting machines - but the finish is always handmade. The quality reaches the original of my dear grandmother - absorbency, durability and durability are worthy. This is the thought behind all textiles from Solwang Design.
