The special feature of this series is the balance between the minimalist shape and the high-quality used materials. The whole collection has the shape of a rounded square with perfectly crafted details. All objects are simple but never banal.
The designer
Piero Lissoni
Piero Lissoni is an architect, designer and art director. In 1986 Piero Lissoni and Nicoletta Canesi set up Lissoni Associati, a multi-disciplinary studio for the planning of architectural projects, interior design and design, based in Milan. In 1996 he founded Graph.x, a group specialised in the development of brands and images. With his multinational team, Lissoni covers architecture, interior, product design, graphics, art direction, and corporate identity. The diverse projects include villas, residential buildings, offices, factories, theaters, restaurants and hotels, boats, shops, showrooms, art exhibitions, exhibition stands, interior design and lighting. Lissoni has won several international awards, including the Good Design Award, the Red Dot Award and the Compasso dOro ADI.
The company
The Alessi company opened in 1921 as a "Technical Workshop for the Processing of Brass and Nickel Silver Plates, with Foundry" has always been known for the upscale quality of its products.
Over almost a century, it has gradually become a top representative of Italian design forgeds, who applies its outstanding competence and expertise in the field of design management to very different product types.
The company is open to change and international development, but at the same time firmly rooted in the tradition and cultural heritage of its environment. Alessi is still synonymous with objects that impress with their craftsmanship qualities, but are manufactured with the help of machines.

Most of the Alessi objects are still produced in Italy since its establishment in 1921, and by cold-working metal, which the skilled workers in Crusinallo di Omegna are responsible for.
Over time, Alessi has also incorporated other materials such as porcelain, glass, wood and plastic into the range and each has developed a special type of production. Also for external production, outside the Crusinallo factory, Alessis guidelines ensure the same high quality standards as in their own home, with always being conveyed between technical-industrial complexity and attention to the artisanal details.
Non-metal objects are manufactured in different production sites worldwide. They are and remain original Alessi objects, because they are based on the same high-class approach to design and the same pursuit of quality that distinguish all of the companys products.
