- How to cook rice with this Donabe clay pot rice cooker
1. Wash rice, put it in the clay pot, add water into the water line or add from 14 oz to 16 oz / 400 cc to 440 cc water for 2 cups and from 20 to 20 oz / 600 cc to 640 cc water for 3 cups and soak it in water for 20 to 30 minutes.
2. Heat with medium flame until steam comes out of the hole on the lid.
3. Then turn the flame very low and hold it with very low flame for approx. 8 minutes. For 2 cups and approx. 10 min. For 3 cups.
4. Turn off the flame and wait 20 to 30 minutes.
