POM-C polyoxymethylene has a continuous operating temperature of up to 100°C. The high surface hardness is surpassed only by a few plastics. Due to the high hardness and smooth surface, POM has good sliding and wear behaviour. The tendency to stress cracks does not exist. The copolymer has a high thermal stability and chemical resistance (this is particularly important to note the increased hydrolysis resistance). Features: pressure-resistant quality, high hardness and rigidity, high toughness (up to -40 °C), high heat dimensional stability, low water absorption, high dimensional stability, good electrical insulation behaviour, very favourable sliding friction and sliding wear behaviour, high resistance to solvents, high resistance to stress cracking, not resistant to strong acids and oxidants, poor adhesion and paintability.
