Quality has always been at the heart of our company. Our name arose when a young Toshio Okada would study while at university, in the park and use shamrocks to mark its pages. When Mr. Okada founded the company, he remembered the hard work and dedication it took to succeed in his studies and all the shamrocks between the pages of his books that accompanied him through his journey. In 1948, Clover officially became the brand. Clover started as a wholesale of needles and craft supplies. Soon after, Clover became a manufacturing company, with the use of machinery developed to capture the vision of engineers to create the wonderful tools we know and love today. Clover USA was founded in Los Angeles in 1983. Clover USA received the name Clover Needlecraft Inc. and sells Takumi knitting needles. Later, the US line grew into patchwork quilting tools and sewing ideas. With the support of our parent company, Clover USA has become a significant brand in the craft world of North America.
