The designer
Naoto Fukasawa
Naoto Fukasawa was born in Yamanashi Prefecture in Japan in 1956. He studied art and 3D design at the University of Tama and completed a study in 1988. In 1989 he left Japan and went to the USA. In San Francisco, he joined a small studio "ID Two", the precursor of "IDEO", a team of eight designers who were mainly engaged in the Japanese market. Naoto Fukasawa set up in January 2003 and founded the "Naoto Fukasawa Design" in Tokyo. Fukasawa also participated in the consultation board of the "MUJI". In December 2003, he created a new brand, "+/-0". Plus minus zero focused on the design of household items from umbrellas to electronics. Naoto Fukasawa is a lector in the product design department at Musashino Art College and the University of Tama in Tokyo. Naoto Fukasawa design has won over 50 awards in Europe and America.

The Alessi company opened in 1921 as a "Technical Workshop for the Processing of Brass and Nickel Silver Plates, with Foundry" has always been known for the upscale quality of its products.
