Our real beef horn as a recycled product is always food-safe, body and tasteless, non-toxic and free from paints or varnishes. The product is produced in small family factories in Madagascar according to a certified fair trade concept. It is not a cheap or even synthetic China product. Hornware is always sustainable because at the end of their use it can be composted again.
Horn objects of use and jewellery have been everyday companions for many centuries. Horn is colorfast, tasteless, acid resistant, and lighter than wood. Real horn goods impress with their unique haptic appearance and natural elegance. The quality of the items depends on the grown material thickness and colour, as well as the care in drying and processing. The product colour from deep black to heavily grained to transparent yellow reflects the "hair colour" of the cattle breed.
No animal will harm our products, because the horns are waste after slaughter. Our craftsmen buy the waste that would otherwise land on dumps. No horns of wild animals are used, all species protection laws are complied with, all veterinary protection laws are observed. Every import is controlled by German customs
