The ergonomic design of the case makes it easy to use. Start pulling the tape. You would find that one side starts with 1 3/4" to account for the curved part of the tape housing included in the measurement. By pressing the button in the middle, pull the end of the band around the body part you want to measure. Lock the pin at the end of the tape to form a circular tape that wraps around the body part. Press the button in the middle and let the band pull back to fit your body tightly.
