Description

The General Tools 8501 Glass Cutter is perfect for precise and smooth cutting of glass plates from 1/8" to 5/8" thick. This heavy duty tool has a steel wheel with a ground angle of 120 degrees for cutting single or double glass. Ergonomically designed tapered handle with a flat surface near the cutting wheel for a comfortable finger position, providing the best leverage. The handle also includes a weighted ball that provides a rise to break off the fluted glass. The General Tools 8501 glass cutter is perfect for cutting glass and DIY projects such as mirrors, window panes, custom picture frames, glass shelves and stained glass. Instructions: Coat the cutting wheel with oil before scoring • Measure the glass surface and work the glass surface with an even pressure • Place the ball or a small dowel under the grooved glass to lift it and press evenly on both sides of the glass.
