Description

Model Air is a range of water-based, matte acrylic paints specially designed for airbrushing. In the formulation of this series, various new resins have been selected for quality levels not previously achieved in water-based paints. The strength, resilience and coverage of Model Air is superior to any acrylic airbrush paint currently available and also allows application with a brush to highlight the smallest details of the miniature. The pigments have been selected according to their degree of lightfastness and optimal micrometer. The effect of washes and transparencies can be achieved by diluting the paints; all paints and varnishes can be mixed together and diluted with airbrush thinner. The colours have been selected very carefully to provide the model painter with the most commonly used references. Tests have been conducted for over two years to develop the tonalities that correspond to the commonly used colors RLM, RAL, ANA, FS and BS. Colours can be mixed with each other, diluted with water, Model Air thinner or varnish or even alcohol, depending on the desired effect, but we recommend using Model Air Thinner as this product preserves the properties of the colours. Model Air adheres exceptionally well to all surfaces. Model Airs adhesion to resin models, plastics, steel and white metal is exceptional. A primer is usually not necessary if the object to be painted is very dark, a white or grey base coat helps to highlight the luminosity of the colours.
