The Caccia cutlery set
With an assortment of 24 different types of cutlery, the hunting service is one of the most extensive of the Alessi catalogue. Designed in the late 1930s by Luigi Caccia Dominioni, Pier Giacomo and Livio Castiglioni - three young architects who would become leading personalities in emerging Italian design - the Caccia cutlery has immediately gained great admiration for its elegance and formal purity. Produced by Alessi since 1990, Luigi Caccia Dominioni Hunting Service includes cutlery designed to complete the original range.

Luigi Caccia Dominioni.
Luigi Caccia Dominioni was born in Milan in 1913. In 1936 he graduates from the Politecnico Faculty of Architecture in Milan. In the same year he begins his professional activity in Venice in collaboration with Livio e Pier Giacomo Castiglioni and wins the Vimercate School competition. His activities in industrial design make it a "pioneer" on the VII due to the series of radio devices that he has designed together with the brothers Castiglioni. Triennals in Milan. In the fifties Azucena was created, where together with Gardella and Corradi presents the designs of his furniture and objects. The Caccia cutlery range is located in the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
The company
The Alessi company opened in 1921 as a "Technical Workshop for the Processing of Brass and Nickel Silver Plates, with Foundry" has always been known for the upscale quality of its products.
Over almost a century, it has gradually become a top representative of Italian design forgeds, who applies its outstanding competence and expertise in the field of design management to very different product types.

Most of the Alessi objects are still produced in Italy since its establishment in 1921, and by cold-working metal, which the skilled workers in Crusinallo di Omegna are responsible for.
