Application of ASS 100 mg Protect, enteric-coated tablets (pack size: pack of 100).

ASS 100 mg Protect, enteric-coated tablets (pack size: 100 pieces) contain acetylsalicylic acid, which belongs to a group of drugs called antiplatelet agents.
Platelets are tiny cells in the blood that can cause blood to clot and lead to thrombosis. The appearance of a blood clot in an artery stops blood flow and cuts off oxygen supply. If this happens in the heart, a heart attack or angina pectoris can occur; in the brain it can lead to a stroke.

As ASA affects blood clotting, it is commonly referred to as blood thinner.

ASS 100 mg is used to reduce the risk of blood clots and prevent the following diseases:

• heart attack

• Stroke.

• Disorders of the cardiovascular system in patients with stable or unstable angina pectoris (pain in the chest area).

ASS 100 mg is also used to prevent the formation of blood clots after certain types of heart surgery to expand or keep the blood vessels open.



This medicine is not suitable for emergency situations. It can only be taken for prevention.
