The first campers do at the pitch or campsite is usually a power connection to the power column. Finally, your refrigerator, air conditioner, lighting or consumer electronics need electricity to operate. Thanks to the direct connection, you can save the batteries in your motorhome or caravan. On the campsite and on the motorhome/caravan you will find a camping CEE connection. Only with normal Schuko extension cables you will not get far.
Power supply via CEE standard
To connect your camper to the parking area, you need a CEE connection. You will find this connection in the junction box on the caravan/motorhome and on the electricity column on the campsite or parking space. Since CEE connections are mainly used for camping, these three-pole CEE plugs and sockets are also used as camping plugs or Camping socket. CEE plugs create a standard European power connector that allows consumers to connect electrical devices without adapters in any European country.
Safety First
All cables and connectors used must comply with applicable standards. The cable cross sections must be 2.5 mm² each, and the cable length must not exceed 25 metres. The insulation must be petrol and oil proof as well as robust. It must be assured that a vehicle runs over a cable without damage.
