- Tennis Ball Yellow for All Surfaces - Sand Court & Hall - with Tennis Net for Storage

Tennis, a folk sport.

Have you always wanted to learn to play tennis, but were not sure where to start? It is also a great way to spend time with your family or friends. Learn the layout of the courts, the scoring system and all the playing techniques you need to become tennis professional!

The playing field.

Find a place to play. You can play tennis in your local park, gym or tennis club. Search online or ask friends where the best dishes are on site. In most parks you can play, but you probably have to pay membership fees to play somewhere else. You can practice basic serving techniques in any large, open space, but its best to spend as much time as possible on actual dishes. You will learn the layout of the course faster and minimise the risk of breaking something with your racket or a ball! Buy tennis accessories. You dont have to buy professional tennis equipment right away, but every beginner must have a few things to get started. Some gyms or tennis clubs provide their members with basic supplies, but if this is not the case, you need to go shopping. You need a racket with its own suitcase. For beginners, all you really need to do is check if your hand is comfortable around the handle. The racket should not feel too heavy to move, but it should not feel like it is weigh anything. There are also rackets for men and women, but in most cases you should prefer the fit to gender. Buy at least three tennis balls. They are very easy to lost. Learn more about the parts of the dish. Finding out the different areas of the tennis court is the first step to learn how to play. Different parts of the space are better suited for different types of games. So go around the pitch for some time before you start practicing. Tennis courts are divided in two by a net - one side belongs to you, the other belongs to your opponent. You cant touch the net or hit the ball in the game.

The parallel line farthest from the net is the baseline. You will stand here to make the first impact. There is a thinner line between the baseline and the net. This is the service line. They point your implements to the area between the net and the service line. The small line in the middle of the baseline is the middle marking. They stand left or right of this brand to serve. The service area is divided into vertical halves perpendicular to the net. This divides the service area into a left and a right area. The two lines on each side of the space perpendicular to the net mark the limits of the space. The inner line is for a single game and the outer one for double. Learn the basics of tennis scoring.

The scoring game.

The point is awarded when the ball is out of the limits, goes into the net or is missed by a player. The game ends after a player has scored four points with a head start of at least two points over the Loser. For example, a score of 4-2 means that the game is completed, but a score of 4-3 means that the game must continue. Tennis games start with zero points on each side. In tennis, a score of zero is referred to as "love". Scores are called at the beginning of each point. With a score of one, the announcer or server calls "fifteen". With a score of two, the call is "thirty". With a score of three, the call is "forty". With a score of four or a winning score, the call is "game". Each impact point is given to the player who does not hit the ball into the net, bounce twice or exceed the limits. Each of these actions ends the point. Breaking the Serve occurs when the player who has not served wins the game. Tennis is played in phrases - you not only play a game and then go home! Sets consist of at least six games. The set only ends when a player wins six games and has a head start of two victories against their opponent. For example, if one player has won six games and the other has won five, they must continue to play until the winner has two victories more than the lower. If both players win six games each, a resistance game is usually called. Tennis games usually consist of three or five sets. Practice hitting the ball with your racket. Before you start serving or playing, get used to your racket and ball. Practice throwing the ball into the air and hitting until you can hit the ball hard several times in a row. Learn how to perform a forehand shot. The hitting is played by holding the bat in your dominant hand as if you were shaking your hand. Then turn the bat behind you and hit the ball outwards and upwards. This stroke is best suited for softer, higher impacts

Alternative ideas for tennis balls:

Examine the old tennis balls. If they are dirty, wash them quickly. If they are divided they may still have some uses. So dont throw them away.Use old tennis balls around the house. Tennis balls can repair many things around the house if you only know what to do with it! Here are a few suggestions: Place the tennis balls on the bottom of a chair or stool to protect wooden floors or delicate floors from scratches and reduce noise level. You can also give a local school or community group many old tennis balls if they want to do the same (schools often need them for this purpose). Or donate them to a senior centre or an institution for supervised living, tennis balls are ideal as a slingshot stopper on the legs of hikers. These are great ways to use shared tennis balls. Cut one in two halves and open the glasses. Simply place the inner rubber part over the lid and twist it while holding it in place. The handle helps release the glass lid. Place them on the end of a sharp object to protect against injury (e.g. a knife or scissors). This can also be useful in workshops where sharp machines are present where people could accidentally enter them. To prevent a door knob from bumping against an inner wall and damaging it, cut a large slot into a tennis ball and slide it over the button. This trick also works great for keeping curious toddlers out of the leeway - at least until they find out how to squeeze themselves when turning. Use them to remove scratch marks from the floor. Many janitors use this trick by placing a tennis ball on the end of a broom so it is always at hand. Improve the results of laundry and bath with old tennis balls. Tennis balls play a great role in keeping laundry in good condition. However, it is essential to use clean tennis balls: fluff the laundry or separate it by throwing a pair in your tumble dryer. (TTennis balls prevent sheets or other large fabric items from sticking together, making them dry faster and more thoroughly). The laundry tennis balls can be stored in a small hanging bag every time for easy reuse. Put a tennis ball together with your shower curtain and half a cup of vinegar in your washing machine and then wash it with hot water. The vinegar kills the mildew and the tennis ball helps to wipe off the mildew. Add old tennis balls to the toilet tank to reduce water consumption when rinsing. Use old tennis balls in the garage or for vehicles. Tennis balls can make the use of garage and vehicle easier: hang on the ceiling of the garage to determine where the wall is located when you secure the car. Cut a slot and cover a trailer hitch. Stick the end of a bicycle stand to prevent it from sinking into the mud or grass. Use tennis balls cut in two halves as miniature road cones when teaching children road rules or bicycle manoeuvres. Place tennis balls under the windscreen wipers of vehicles that are stored for a long time. This means that the blades last longer. Use the proven method to find your car in a crowded parking space: Place a tennis ball on the end of the antenna. Old tennis balls can be used as a safety buffer for boats, especially for beginners. Simply halve and attach to potential bumps on any boat. Entertain and protect pets and animals with old tennis balls. Tennis balls offer a number of useful ways when it comes to pets. Just make sure that split balls cannot get caught on teeth, skin, fur or other parts of a pet. If this is possible, either cut the ball completely and simply use the halves or prefer a whole ball instead. Here are some ideas to get you started:

Use old tennis balls as a dog or cat toy. There are many things you can do including retrieving and rolling games or decorating with non-toxic markers and safe craft pieces to draw your pets attention to hunting.

Tennis balls with drilled holes (about the size of a 10 cent piece) are ideal as protection for field mice. Some wildlife projects use tennis balls for this purpose and add the balls to the wilderness so that the mice can find their home.
