Needle sleeves are needle bearings in which the outer ring is machined without cutting and is thin-walled. They are mainly used where the housing holes cannot serve as raceways for needle rings and are particularly space-saving and cost-effective storage. The needle sleeves are pressed into the housing bore and sit firmly. This makes it possible to manufacture the housing holes easily and economically, provided no shoulders or snap rings are required for axial fixing.
