How to choose the right saw chain?

Determine the length of the guide rod by measuring the length from the base to the tip. |
The chain thickness indicates the thickness of each drive link. Determine their strength by measuring the area of the drive link within the guide rail. |
The chain pitch indicates the distance between the drive links. Measure the division by counting three links in a row and dividing by two. |
Count each drive link to determine the total number of drive links in your chain. |
